Chris Sutton trolls Arsenal and Man Utd after Celtic win

Chris Sutton brutally trolled Premier League giants, Manchester United and Arsenal, after both sides lost their Europa League games while Celtic cruised to a win over Rennes.

Celtic have done brilliantly in the Europa League season, winning four of their five games and topping one of the toughest groups in the competition with one game still in hand. This is the fastest any Scottish team has ever qualified for the knockout stage of a competition.

Just to put their achievement into perspective, Manchester United and Arsenal have less points than them. And both are in far easier groups.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have been in terrible form this season. They currently sit on 8th and 9th position in the Premier League table, respectively. After not managing a win in 7 games, Unai Emery was sacked earlier today. And Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not in a much better position either, having won just two of his side’s last eight Premier League games.

And the two teams succumbed to defeats in the Europa League. Manchester United lost out 2-1 away to minnows Astana. While Arsenal lost 2-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, in what turned out to be Emery’s last game in charge of the London side.

Celtic on the other hand are in flying form. They are top of the Scottish Premiership, are in the final of the Scottish League Cup and have already qualified for the Europa League knockout stage as the club look set to challenge for a treble for the fourth straight season.

Not one to let any opportunity go, Chris Sutton took the chance to troll the Premier League giants. The former Celtic striker posted on his Twitter:

Although Sutton is clearly having some fun, the thing about the tweet is that Celtic might actually pull off the upset considering the form that the two sides are in at the moment. The Hoops have done so in the past and there is no reason they cannot do it now.
