Christopher Jullien makes huge claim about Celtic teammates

Christopher Jullien has made a huge claim about his teammates at Celtic with respect to the other clubs that he has played for during his career.

Christopher Jullien has impressed hugely since moving to Celtic from Toulouse earlier in the summer. After a shaky first few appearances, he has quickly established himself as the heart of the Celtic defence since settling in and has to be one of the first names on Neil Lennon’s team-sheet these days.

And it appears that the Frenchman has been impressed by his teammates at Parkhead as well. Celtic are currently at the top of the Scottish Premiership, in the final of the Scottish League Cup and already in the knockout stage of the Europa League as they look set to challenge for a Treble for the fourth season running. It is safe to say that Jullien has not played at a club of this level in the past.

The defender started his career Auxerre but found first-team opportunities hard to come by. A move to SC Freiburg failed to bring much success either but it is on a loan spell at Dijon during this period that Jullien showed his potential for the first time. Toulouse signed him permanently the following season and after three impressive seasons in Ligue 1, he took the step up to Celtic.

The move to Scotland has certainly gone well for Jullien. And one of the biggest reasons for that is the quality of players that surround him at Celtic. In fact, the Frenchman recently claimed that his current teammates are the best that he has had in his career.

According to STV, Jullien said:

“I am surrounded by the best players I have played with before.

“My team mates just now are simply the best that I have played with, it is so much easier to play well when you are playing with team mates like this.

“We have such good chemistry and I just try to do my job and if that is good for the club then that is all that matters.”

It is good to see that the defender is enjoying life at Celtic Park. At just 26-years-old he has years of football ahead of him and could be a mainstay in Neil Lennon’s team for years to come. the Hoops fans will be hoping he keeps on delivering impressive performances like he has done since arriving.
