Celtic set to battle Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester for wonderkid Bruno Davidson, a young Scottish winger who is making splashes.
Bruno Davidson has been making headlines recently with his stellar play. Now, the drama of where he could possibly land is reaching an all time high. Celtic was originally thought to be one of the top clubs competing for the 15-year old’s services.
However, the wonderkid has recently visited Leicester City for a tryout, according to Football Insider. It would not be atypical transfer cycle if Brendan Rodgers was not stirring up some type of drama with his former club.
The young winger already has multiple offers from clubs such as Celtic, Sunderland, and has played recently at Liverpool. Leicester City is expected to make an offer to Davidson soon, which adds one more club to the mix for the wonderkid to make his decision.
Celtic is well known for wanting to acquire top, young talent with the thought of developing it, and perhaps transferring later on down the line. Davidson could be the “next big thing” and it comes with little surprise that more than just Celtic want his services.
It should also be unsurprising that Brendan Rodgers is pursuing Davidson, considering the manager had the same line of thinking during his tenure with the Hoops. Davidson would prove to be a great prospect, especially since he can playing of the attacking positions.
It is well within reason to believe Celtic have a real shot at signing the wonderkid. Davidson currently plays in Edinburgh with Hutchison Vale, which allows Celtic easier access to the player. It also stands to reason that the youngster may not want to travel to far from home, and the Hoops provide a truly global team for the youngster to start his career.
