Celtic remain at Paradise at Partick Thistle makes the trip to Glasgow to take on the Hoops in the Scottish League Cup. The Celtic Bhoys attempt to predict the starting XI for Wednesday’s match.

Partick Thistle should not prove too much of a challenge for Celtic, but after a few matches of travel, and key players being worked hard some rest may be in order. It will not take a full strength squad to handle Partick in Parkhead, but that does not mean they should be underestimated.

GK: Craig Gordon

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has already stated that he will get the start. Despite how Fraser has played of late, the big man needs a rest.

RB: Moritz Bauer

Bauer is an incredibly capable player, and even won player of the year for Rubin Kazan in 2017. Elhamed has been lights out of late, but Bauer could see a start here to allow the Israeli a breather.

CB: Kristoffer Ajer

While some players will get a rest on the defence, not all can. If Neil Lennon allowed too many potential holes and Partick took advantage then Lennon would have to answer. For that reason alone Ajer will get the start.

CB: Christopher Jullien

We say it every week, and every match- Jullien was a great signing. The Frenchman has helped solidify the backline, and even make if formidable. If you play Ajer you have got to play Jullien.

LB: Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo

With Greg Taylor cup tied against Partick, Boli will get another start. The left-back has played phenomenally and should have a field day against Partick.
