Odsonne Edouard earned the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month for August after scoring multiple goals during the month of August and reveals why he has had success.
Odsonne Edouard has been a force to be reckoned with during the early portion of the young season. Despite sitting in the match against Hearts, the striker came on strong with goals against St. Johnstone and Motherwell.
The striker also added numerous assists to accompany solid play throughout the rest of August. A torrid start to September has also not gone unrecognized when the Frenchman scored in the derby match against Rangers at Ibrox which led to momentum favoring Celtic. His French U-21 national team performance where Edouard scored two more goals helped cap his great start.
Edouard was presented today with the Ladbrokes Premiership Player of the Month award for August highlighting his stellar play. Edouard has kept himself humble and continued to be a huge part of the continued success of the club despite being so young.
The striker has credited his manager for his recent performance as well as putting him in the position to be able to win the award. His class is just another reason that the Bhoy is highly coveted not just by his club, but clubs around the world.
Edouard has developed into a truly world-class striker during his short stint with Celtic. As is custom, Celtic is getting calls on their young player due to the reputation Celtic has of developing talent.
Most recently, there is a rumour that Italian giants Napoli are preparing a £30-million bid for the Celtic superstar. This move, or any move for that matter would have to wait until the winter transfer window. By winter Edouard might be such a hot commodity that Celtic will be offered a bid that is just too good to refuse. For what it is worth, we hope the Bhoy stays with Celtic while the club makes a run in European competition.
