This one should be obvious, as Ciftci hasn’t been seen on a Celtic pitch at all this season. He’s been an unused substitute just twice in Scottish Premiership action, with his only time on the pitch coming in a preseason friendly against Barcelona in the Champions Cup.

Let’s just say that the 24-year-old doesn’t have a future in the gameplan of the manager and move on.

It is a shame, because there was a lot of promise when he first came over from Dundee United after impressing with 25 goals in 68 appearances for the club. Since his move to Celtic, he’s fallen out of form badly and Rodgers seems to want nothing to do with him.

Ryan Christie has become the third-choice striker up top when/if either Moussa Dembele or Leigh Griffiths aren’t available.

Time has come for Ciftci to move on in his career, but where will that ultimately be?
