5. Another Cup Failure

Ok, so not playing the Champions League and getting rocked out of the Europa League stunk in the first half of the season. So did a 3-1 loss to Ross County in the Scottish League Cup in the same half of the season.

It had plenty upset over the reign of Ronny Deila, but what took place in the second half of the year (and the first half of 2016 as a year) put most over the edge.

What took place on April 17, 2016 was likely the ultimate in Ronny Deila failure. It was one of the rare meetings between Celtic and Sevco since the other Glasgow club’s rebirth in 2012. Celtic lost 5-4 on penalties and it meant no domestic double for the Bhoys and perhaps the worst of the defeats in the Deila era.

It also was likely the final nail in the coffin for Deila at Celtic Park. Not long after it was announced he wouldn’t be returning
